The idea is to be able to use an XWiki instance as a LDAP server to authenticate users and get groups.
The LDAP and XWiki models are very close (entries containing object of defined classes) so the idea came to implement an LDAP interface with XWiki model as backend.
The GSOC will be a success if the following user case is covered: use XWiki as LDAP server for another instance of XWiki.
